A building in Liverpool which is thought to have been the first functioning Mosque in the UK is to get listed status.

The Abdullah Quilliam Society on Brougham Terrace, in Liverpool, has been upgraded to Grade II* status to reflect its importance in telling the story of the emergence of Islam in England
